Victorian Thomas Bradbury & Son Hot Water Jug Circa 1875
A stunning decorative Victorian Silver Plated Hot Water Jug by a popular maker of the era. Having an unusual Patented Gimbled Lid, and fabulous engraving throughout.
Clear Makers mark and date diamond to the base.
The Tofts M Patent mark to the underside of the lid must sit to the front of the jug as the Lozenge provides the weight for the gimble action.
In wonderful original condition this Victorian Hot Water Jug is remarkable given its 145+ year age. There are no dinks, the plating is in very good order, carrying the lightest of surface scratches, the gimbled lid fits perfectly and swings very well.
This is a wonderful item, in very good all-around condition.
