Edwardian Early 20th Century Silver Overlay Teapot and Stand
These items have been on quite a journey over the years and are in remarkably good condition for their age and use.
Treacle Glazed Betty Teapot is by Lovatt, England C1900-1920
The Stand is by C.A.P, Cambridge Art Pottery/Guernsey Cooking Wear, Ohio C1895-1920
These items were shipped to a Canadian company - Glass and China Decorations Ltd, Montreal in quantity, and used as blanks, where these rather utilitarian items were married up and transformed into something special when they had their Stirling Silver Overlay applied. This company was in existence from 1895 until at least 1920.
Beautifully original and showing all the various makers marks for the above on the bases.
