The condition is exceptionally good. The surfaces have recently had their polish refreshed and finished with beeswax ready for delivery to your home.

Thomas Wallis & Co

Thoms Wallis & Co. was a very desirable, popular department store, trading from 7 Holborn Circus, London from 1896 until 1941.

This prominently positioned, prestigious and large department store offered a wide range of high-end quality household goods. Stocking between 700 and 800 specialist lines, everything from General and Fancy Drapery, Ladies and Gentlemen’s Outfitting, and high-end quality Home Furniture and Furnishings.

Sadley the Thomas Wallis store was destroyed in the London Blitz in 1941. The building was struck by incendiary bombs at 2.30am on 17 April 1941, the night that became known as 'The Wednesday' of the Blitz which targeted mainly central and South London.
