Desk Top Writers Stationary Box with Original Key
A lovely elegant larger than average Desk Top Cabinet with the original key opening down to a leather writing slope. Lovely mahogany and substantially made.
The side panels have sliding brass catches top and bottom allowing them to be fully opened for easy access to the stationary compartments present to each panel and to the back of the cabinet.
Inside are two original beautiful crystal 'Improved London' Inkwells in lovely condition housed in handmade bespoke copper stands. (One of the inkwells has a hard ceramic ball inserted which is too big to be removed, can only assume it was placed in there on manufacture!)
There is also a good size copper pen rest for two dip pens.
There is a small drawer divided into sections for miscellaneous items running the full depth of the cabinet, set central under the top with a small copper turned pull handle.
