Antique Rosewood Jewellery Box With Original Key
A practical sized Rosewood Victorian Jewellery Box. Mother of Pearl cartouche and inlay inset to the lid, matching metal escutcheon with mother of pearl decorative inlay surround.
Quality working lock and original key.
There is one removable tray with brass recessed handles, lifting out to a deep storage area underneath. Refurbished throughout in chocolate velvet.
Very pretty later hand mirror with tapestry scene, nice usable size and complements the jewellery box very well.
The overall condition is very good, the lock works well and closes well with a very satisfying clunk. Carrying wear associated with age and use all be it light for its 100+ year age.
