The coopered oak staves have a dark stained patina, and the twisted hemp rope handle is attached by heavy-weight cast fittings held in place with knotted ends with a leather hand stitched hand grip.
The removable original metal liner fits perfectly and has kept the base and internal finish of the staves in excellent condition.
