This is a superb classic black crosshatched Moroccan leather clad jewellery box.
A lovely quality Victorian Jewellery Box with:
Original nickel-plated quadrant stop hinges.
Re-lined interior in mink velvet.
The lock plate is stamped 'BRAMAH LONDON' and works smoothly with the 4 slider key.
Quality brass recessed rise and fall carry handle.
Two removable trays. The first divided into several compartments having a long continuous run along three sides for necklaces, cushioned ring holder and central watch mount.
The second tray is equally divided, and removes to a good size storage area in the base for larger items.
The condition of the Victorian Jewellery Box is very good.
The quality Bramah locks work exceptionally well.
There are some small signs of age wear to the exterior but no missing or replaced leather, only what you would expect from a used antique item 100+ year old.
