A solid hand carved sandstone Holy Water Bowl or Baptism Font on an Oak Stand. Of the exceptional high quality that is associated with ecclesiastical furniture and architecture.
The hexagonal solid sandstone bowl has been skilfully hand carved to three sides, and has a worn ivory painted interior originally protecting the stone from water. The base of the font has a hand carved circular recess fitting the top of the plinth. The oak plinth has a beautiful light natural oak finish which has the makers mark on the base.
