The lid having the original undamaged multiple ripple pen holder down the centre.
Working lock and key.
Excellent quality brass inset rise and fall handle to the lid.
A beautiful Victorian gift given to someone who must have been held in high regard given the quality.
The base plate to the handle has been engraved:
Presented to G T Kerrick by the Chipping Sodbury Band of Hope 27th March 1878.
The condition is incredibly good given its 100+ year age, the box is solid, the lock works well, and the leather carries light age-related wear to be expected of a used item of this age.
